ANTWERP JAPAN ARCHIVE TAKEOVER. A CELEBRATION OF COMMUNITY.

Antwerp Japan Archive Takeover. Saturday 5th June. The Exchange NW1.

Saturday Really Touched Us 🫂

Our Antwerp/Japan Archive Takeover focused on the six Belgium designers who were greater together than apart. That same sentiment is why Saturday meant so much to us.

Everyone really came together to create this Antwerp Six celebration.

Ondine from Nymfa Vintage flew from Paris to shape the concept, the execution, and the showcase. Her expertise helped to make this the richest experience we’ve ever put together.

The panel hosted by Dominique Fenn, with Ondine, Tash from Brother LDN , and Ari from Aro Archive, honestly, could have gone on for hours more. Can’t wait to re-watch it back.

The showcase featured the amazing ‘Belgium Wind’ book from Mina Wakatski and Azumi and David, documenting Mina’s journalistic archives as one of the first Japanese fashion journalists who introduced Belgian fashion to Japan back in the 80s and 90s.

The archive display featured items from Recente, Brother and Aro Archive, and was interspersed with interviews from The Antwerp Six and Yohji Yamamoto.

Then, of course, all of the insane archives for sale from our incredible dealer base who travelled from across the UK and Europe to be there.

Yes, Saturday was our biggest event to date. And it also felt the most complete. It was the truest reflection of what made us start Known Source: to elevate second hand fashion by showcasing the love and expertise from within the community.

Thank you 🖤
